Founder
James P. Mitchell
James P. Mitchell is a 3rd Legacy Mitchell with over 35 years of practical construction experience in all aspects of the industry, from new building construction to interior alterations. Mr. Mitchell’s broad range of responsibilities includes site supervision, project management and value engineering, as well as new business development, sales and marketing. Jim currently serves as JSM’s Owner & President and oversees all matters of operations.

Mark Mitchell
On the graduate level, Mark Mitchell studied architectural design and estimating at New York University. He spent several years as an assistant field superintendentbefore assuming
duties in the main office as estimator and project manager. Mark has subsequently supervised daily operations for clients such as The Salvation Army, Maryknoll Fathers, the
National Broadcasting Company, the American Broadcasting Company, Beth Israel Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital, among others.

Paul W. Lauterback III
​Employed by James S. Mitchell & Sons since 2006. Mr. Lauterback has specialized in healthcare and educational projects. Mr. Lauterbacks responsibilities include overall
management of the company, estimating and project oversight. Relationships with various clients include NYU Langone, Maimonides Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center,
Pace University & Union Square Eye Care. Paul’s expertise includes obtaining Article 28 approval for a multitude of healthcare projects.

Jamie W. Mitchell
James W. Mitchell (Jamie) a 4th legacy Mitchell and an employee of James S. Mitchell & Sons for 15 years. Starting his career, he assisted field superintendents with scheduling, budgeting, and the coordination of labor. Projects such as, the Lecture Halls at Pace University’s Main Campus as well as The Salvation Army’s Tarrytown Corps. Jamie currently manages and oversees JSM operations, manages and budgets financials for each project, develops and handles public relations with clients and the subcontracting team, and marketing / competitive analysis for new projects.
Director of Field Personnel & Senior Superintendent
Geno Scarpelli
Geno Scarpelli has been an experienced member of James S. Mitchell & Sons for over 25 years. His construction knowledge and experience has educated future JSM Superintendents and Foremen for years. Employed currently as JSM’s Director of Field Personnel & Senior Superintendent. Geno oversees multiple projects and ensures all projects are adequately staffed and ensures no project has a shortfall of manpower. Geno also assists in all jobsite meetings with the Architect & Engineer.

Jeff Wheeler
Jeff has been a member of James S. Mitchell & Sons for 8 Years. Since that time, he has specialized in Healthcare Projects that entail some of the most delicate and complex working conditions. Jeff is an integral piece in each stage of construction from pre-construction to closing out the project. Roles and duties include, attendance of all project meetings, site visits with the architect and engineer, assigning workdays for the subcontracting team, correcting drawing disputes in the field, and directing the subcontracting team with what is
required to finish the project.
